Instructions
Instructions
-
Cook the Noodles
In a large pot, boil the spaghetti in salted water until just tender. Drain and set aside. -
Brown the Ground Beef
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion. Cook until the meat is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat. -
Add Taco Seasoning
Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes to thicken and infuse flavor. -
Mix in Tomatoes and Noodles
Add the diced tomatoes and the cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Pour in the broth or water and stir everything together. -
Add Cheese and Let It Melt
Sprinkle in half of the cheese and stir to combine. Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for 5–7 minutes. -
Top and Serve
Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, cover, and let it melt. Serve hot with your favorite toppings!
Notes
- To make it a one-pot meal, cook the pasta directly in the skillet after browning the meat and adding enough broth (around 3 cups).
- You can easily swap beef for ground turkey or plant-based meat for a healthier version.
- Taco spaghetti freezes well! Store in freezer-safe containers for up to 2 months.
- Want to make it creamier? Add 1/4 cup sour cream or cream cheese while simmering.
- For extra spice, use hot Rotel or add a splash of hot sauce.
